Morocco Water Investment Regulatory Dialogue Series

November 2025 - February 2026

Building Investor-Grade Data Systems to Unlock Private and Commercial Investment in Water Resilience

The Resilient Water Accelerator (RWA) invites Moroccan partners from government, finance, utilities and industry to participate in a structured national dialogue focused on strengthening and expanding private and commercial investment in Morocco’s water security. This engagement includes a four-part webinar series, contributing expert interviews, and engaging at an in-person convening in Rabat. These will inform a Water Investment Regulatory Driver (WIRD) assessment, to map the financial and regulatory landscape for water investment and identify opportunities that strengthen and align policy and practice.

This dialogue builds on discussions held in Casablanca and Rabat in 2025 with senior representatives from the Central Bank of Morocco, the AMMC, the Casablanca Stock Exchange, Africa50, ONEE, the Fédération Marocaine de l’Assurance, and diverse development financiers. The meetings emphasized a need for better data coherence, regulatory coordination, and shared learning across the water and finance sectors.
